Connected, not another silo

SIS integrations

First Six reads the systems you already run. One familiar enrolment feed keeps every cohort and every student's stage current, so staff never re-key or babysit student data.

Bring your SIS, keep your weekends

A standard extract, an automatic platform.

Staff run orientation, not data entry: the enrolment feed keeps every cohort and every student's stage current, and the platform quietly does the right thing when a student defers or returns.

Your SIS stays the source of truth

Universities do not need another system to maintain. Your SIS already knows who is enrolled, in what, and when, because your reporting and funding depend on it. First Six treats that as the single source of truth and asks for the smallest possible slice of it.

Three familiar pieces: your student roster (names, emails, program, campus), your teaching calendar (terms and census dates), and your enrolment rows (student, unit, teaching period, status). That is the same extract your SIS already produces for a dozen other systems, whether you run TechnologyOne, Tribal Callista, Ellucian Banner, PeopleSoft or anything else that can export a file.

From that feed, First Six works out the rest on its own: who is commencing, who is continuing, who has deferred and who has come back. Students always see an accurate picture of where they are, and staff never have to chase it.

From standard extract to just works

A standard extract, an automatic platform.

01

Start with a CSV

Day one needs nothing from IT: import your roster and enrolments as a CSV, the shape your SIS already exports.

02

Connect the feed

When you are ready, point a nightly extract at the secure enrolment endpoint (early access), with per-tenant credentials. No middleware required.

03

First Six digests it

Rosters, terms and enrolments update in place. New students are added, changed details follow, and nothing is duplicated.

04

Student stage follows automatically

Commencing, continuing, deferring, returning: each student's home tracks their real enrolment, with no staff action.

What we never do. The line between support and surveillance, drawn clear.

Support means seeing the pattern, not the person. We built the line between helping and watching into the product itself.

Least data by design

First Six asks for the minimum slice. No grades, no fees, no financial or medical data ever leave your SIS.

Hosted in Australia

The data of record is hosted in Australia, and subprocessors are disclosed.

Scoped and audited

Feed credentials are per-institution, and staff-run imports land in a tamper-resistant audit log.

Never sold or mined

Student data is never sold or mined. It exists to support students, full stop.

Plugs into the systems you already run

SSO, roster sync, calendar integration. Your stack stays yours, and your students see only your university.

SSO, no new passwords

Sign in with Microsoft Entra or any OIDC provider (SAML on the roadmap). Students sign in as themselves.

Roster sync keeps cohorts current

CSV import is live today; the direct SIS push endpoint is in early access.

Calendar stays theirs

iCal export to Apple, Google, or Outlook, kept current automatically.

Outbound webhooks

Subscribe your own systems to signed First Six events (request created, crisis, updated, resolved), delivered over HTTPS with an HMAC signature you verify.

Help desk & CRM (email-to-ticket)

When a student asks for help, open a ticket in the help desk your staff already watch (ServiceNow, Salesforce, Jira Service Management, Zendesk), via email-to-case.

Calendar (ICS)

Add events to the calendar students already use.

Student information system

Sync enrolment and audience groups from your student information system. CSV roster import is available today; the direct push endpoint is in early access.

SAML 2.0

Single sign-on via SAML 2.0. In progress.

OpenID Connect (OIDC)

Standards-based single sign-on via OpenID Connect.

Microsoft Entra ID

Single sign-on via Microsoft Entra ID using OIDC.

FAQ

Questions about how First Six works and what it does for your students.

What data does First Six need from our SIS?

Three things: your student roster (name, email, program, campus), your teaching calendar (terms with census dates), and enrolment rows (student, unit, teaching period, status). No grades, no fees, no financial or medical data.

Do we need middleware or a big integration project?

No. Day one is a CSV import your team can run themselves. The nightly push endpoint (early access) accepts the same shape over HTTPS with per-tenant credentials, and sits comfortably behind whatever integration platform you already use.

Which SIS platforms does it work with?

Any system that can produce a standard extract, including TechnologyOne, Tribal Callista, Ellucian Banner and PeopleSoft. First Six consumes the file or feed; there is nothing to install inside your SIS.

What happens when a student defers or withdraws?

The feed is the truth. When a student holds no active enrolment, First Six stops prompting them and shows an honest between-terms state. When their next enrolment appears, their home picks up automatically at their return.

How fresh does the data stay?

As fresh as your feed. Enrolment changes are upserted, so add and drop churn in the first weeks lands cleanly, and a nightly cadence is plenty for most teams.

See it for your next cohort.
